08/14/2008Regional planning procedure in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania for NEL natural-gas pipeline successfully completed
The regional planning procedure for the NEL is now complete. The planning procedure had been initiated by OPAL NEL TRANSPORT GmbH. The Ministry for Transport, Construction and State Development in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, assisted by government representatives from Lüneburg and the district government of the Herzogtum Lauenburg district, gave a positive response to the application in its so-called regional development assessment.
07/28/2008OPAL NEL TRANSPORT GmbH applies for exemption from regulation
On Friday, 25 July 2008, OPAL NEL TRANSPORT GmbH submitted an application to the Federal Network Agency for exemption from regulation for the OPAL and the NEL, the two onshore pipeline links for the Nord Stream pipeline, in accordance with Section 28a of the Energy Management Act (EnWG).
